Fairness Doctrine Opposed by Obama
Posted on February 18th, 2009 in Current Events | No Comments »
According to the White House President Obama does not support any movement to bring back the Fairness Doctrine. The announcement by the White House to FauxNews is the first solid stance we have seen Obama take on this issue.
“As the president stated during the campaign, he does not believe the Fairness Doctrine should be reinstated.”
– White House Spokesman, Ben Labolt
Hopefully Obama can stand to this principle when his liberal chronies come knocking on his door to implement restrictions on the right wing pundits for disagreeing with their views. Time will see, but holding firm on this issue is one less piece socialism to worry about.

Dear Obama, Make me a Believer

Mr. President, I want to be wrapped and enveloped in the warm, fuzzy feelings that all your supporters have seem to found with you. I can tell that you mean well and you would like what is best for the country, but before I can put my trust behind you there are a few things that the Bush administration has done that I would like to see fixed. The list isn’t complicated or difficult, instead it relies on common sense and abiding by our constitution.
Firstly, let us use common sense and repeal the USA PATRIOT act. I know you alone cannot repeal a piece of legislation, but use your pull to convince congress to rid us of perhaps the greatest bastardization of the constitution in American history. No more warrantless wiretaps, no more infringement of our 4th Amendment, and no more rushed legislation through our “competent” congress.
Next, let’s put all the flawed thinking aside and end this bailout business. I can’ think of a single person I know who support’s the government throwing money in to the flames of failure. Keep in mind Mr. President, as well as your congressional cohorts, you are representing the American people, the very people who are fronting the bill for these bailouts. When the next set of elections comes up in two years, don’t be surprised when your democrats begin losing seats left and right to a fiscally conservative opponent.
Furthermore Mr. President, with all of the grand social programs you have in mind, maintaining a budget with a surplus not only is responsible spending but it will also restore confidence in our economy, not only in the United States but around the World. In your inaugaration speech you mentioned that it’s not the government being too big or small but instead if it works. The answer to your question is, no, the government does not work efficently. Before you spend trillions of dollars on socialist programs, please fix the budget, balance it, then begin your spending spree. Spending in deficit will automatically make me lose all hope in your presidency. Cut useless programs, end our greattest money pit, the war. I don’t care how you do it, or what you do with your prorgams, just don’t our debt up further.
Please Mr. President, make me a believer in your tenure. I want to believe, but untill you can prove your competence, I will hold you accountable for all actions that you take.
Just Throwing it out There

In preparation for tomorrow’s swearing in of the chosen one, I just thought I’d throw this out there.
